Doctor Who Christmas Special 2013 Trailer: The Time of the Doctor

New trailer for 'The Time of the Doctor', the 2013 Doctor Who Christmas Special.  Get your first look at Matt Smith's last appearance as the Doctor.  Right off the bat, we can see Cybermen, the Silence, the Weeping Angels, and the Daleks (of course).  So it's set to be an exciting send off for Eleven.

As always, the special airs on Christmas Day, at 9:00 pm on BBC America.

Sneak peek at the Doctors from the 50th Anniversary special.  Along with David Tennant and Matt Smith, Paul McGann reprises his role as the 8th Doctor and John Hurt appears as a previously unknown incarnation of the Doctor.

Nice to see McGann back after his lone appearance on film in the tv movie.  And John Hurt should make for a good Doctor.  Also slated to reappear is Billie Pier, former companion with David Tennant and Chris Eccleston, although it is not confirmed that she will be playing Rose Tyler as we know her.

'Day of the Doctor' airs on Novermber 23 at 2:50 EST on BBC America.

Doctor Who RPG: College Humor Spoof (Spoilers)

Came across this today from the folks at College Humor.  It's a funny RPG-cartoon based on Doctor Who, complete with a remade, 8-bit score.  They also made one for Breaking Bad a few months back which is equally brilliant.

But warning, only watch if you're caught up on the most recent season.

I loved the pokemon evolution spoof, and especially the line "Rory left the party... also, existence"

Too bad it's not a real game.

I have to say I didn't enjoy this past season as much as Matt Smith's first season, but it was still fun to watch. Maybe the new companion coming in the next season will shake things up a bit.

Doctor Who Season 7 Trailer Released

Last week, news broke that a new companion has been cast for Doctor Who.  So that means at some point in the upcoming series, we'll have to say goodbye to lovely Amy Pond and the constantly-dying Rory Williams. :( But I am excited for the new companion, Jenna Louise Coleman... who can only be described as "hot".

Anyway, in addition to that news, the BBC released a trailer for the next season/series today.  Looks like it brought back the western theme a bit from last season (Stetsons are cool).  Except this time it's actual cowboys in the actual old west.  Fun idea, the episode looks cool.  There's also a few snippets from a winter/arctic setting, maybe from a different episode.  

Also, (for better or worse) Daleks!

Either way it's nice to get a sneak peek of the new season so early into production.  Enjoy.

This reminds me I still need to watch the Christmas special... and buy a Fez
